How to Find a London Locksmith

Whether you like it or not good professionals are hard to find. When it comes to find a good locksmith things get even trickier than you might have imagined given the fact that, the various individuals can advertise their skills over the internet without having a real competence or background. If you want to hire a professional locksmith in your town, you should always contact one that has good credentials. Maybe some friends can recommend you one or maybe you find a website which has great reviews. Reading people's reviews reassures you that your money is well spent. A great variety of services offered is another aspect to be taken into consideration when searching for a London locksmith in my case. A trained locksmith can change a lock, upgrade your current one or resolve your problem when you locked yourself out of your car. These situations are never pleasant and they seem to happen at the worst of times.

For this reason, you need a locksmith who can come at your location anytime day or night and can get to you in a matter of minutes. A trusted company hires a locksmith for every neighborhood in order to be accessible to every location. Whether you live in downtown London like me or its outskirts you should be able to find a good and reliable locksmith within your area. The cost for the London locksmith's job is affordable and should not concern you. When the professional comes fast, gets his job done right and impeccable and his services are affordable then you know that you have hired the right locksmith for you. A respectable company has also an emergency service which means that you can call at anytime and they will send a locksmith from London or near by to you right away. As you can see a good London locksmith is actually not so hard to find if you know how to look for the right one.

Ice Station Zebra

If you occasionally have a spare Sunday afternoon, you may have seen Ice Station Zebra. Padded with commercial breaks, the thing could go for three and a half hours. If you are Howard Hughes, you may have watched Ice Station Zebra on a continuous loop in your fortified suite at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Watching ISZ, as we in the industry call it, one can see why it endures, both as a certain type of man-entertainment (dad movie) and as a maddeningly flawed piece of cold war flimmaking. I call it a dad movie because it lays out a mysterious destination. The first part is getting there. Once there, the task is to find a canister of film before the Russians can. It's literally a movie about doing two things, and some psychological compulsion forces us to watch until the end. You don't really buy Rock Hudson as the captain of a US nuclear submarine. Ernest Borgnine does not really sell the charming Russian turncoat routine. There's no deep real character work, the stakes don't seem all that high. The end fizzles out in a stalemate with a low body count. So what makes Ice Station Zebra so watchable?

More about Social Networks

The other side of the coin is a new, formidable tool to test organizational models, promote events, even food revolution. Or at least that is what the media say about the so-called traditional Arab riots. It would seem, in fact, that without social media Ben Ali and Mubarak would still be in place in Syria or that there would be "days of rage". But is it true? The reflection on the abuse of Social Networks raises, or better lifts, some substantive issues, both historically and inexorably linked to the use of the network, where every action is tracked, every action can potentially be monitored, where maintaining privacy and anonymity Coast commitment, hard work and advanced skills on average. And beyond the more refined knowledge confidentiality is not always possible.

At the same time, the Internet is represented, and perhaps still is a great means of communication, which led to the opening passages of media freedom in armored systems, break down barriers, to share experiences. For years the network has nurtured the dream of information more democratic, it certainly has given space and voice actors invisible, in some cases has allowed uncomfortable news come to light (among all, the Aldrovandi is the most emblematic case). In this context, is part of the Italian anomaly, represented by a media system linked to more than any other large industrial groups and in which the largest publishers, Silvio Berlusconi, is also the President of the Council of Ministers.

Freedom or Control

If there's not much talk about it, you will use it more. Social Networks are the current fashion, and not just among young people. Names, sexual preferences, music, film, friendship, love picture video. A wealth of information, a potential gold mine for marketing agencies but also a gold mine to the Ministries of Interior. When we saw for the first time Facebook, we thought, with a wry smile, that was the work of the Central Intelligence Agency. In fact, Facebook, container par excellence of this precious mine of personal information, may seem like the postmodern dream of a dictatorship of the last century, detailed views and preferences of tens of millions of men kept up to date, in the hands of whom? To be continued.

The End of Our Lives

While it's not fun to think of the end of our lives, if we don't look to our personal affairs, we risk leaving the people we love dealing with chaos when they are already grieving. One need only look to Steig Larsson, (author if you don't know) who left his live in lover out in the financial cold upon his untimely demise, to realize that if we want any say in what happens to our stuff after we die, we need to arrange our affairs before that moment. Not all inheritance laws are equal, so make sure you take the time to protect the people and your legacy, before it's too late.

Not Fun to Think About This

Not long ago, there was a post to several loops by a family member trying to let people know his mom had passed away. It was a sad post and difficult for the son, because he didn't know exactly who to inform. This got me thinking about what my family would be faced with if something happened to me. One thing I really need to do is update my contact list with basic info that my family can use. I'm still working on the exact wording, because "let this person know if I've died" seems kind of, I don't know. I certainly need to tag contacts by whether I have business dealings and/or if they are personal friends. Beyond the informing part of the situation, I also need to make it easy for my family to sort out my writing business and protect the rights to my intellectual property in the process. I have talked to my kids about what of my personal property they might be interested in. I love my books and other things I've collected, but the last thing I want is for them to become a burden to my family when they are already (at least I hope they will be) struggling with losing me. To be continued.

Learning and Doing

These are two seperate realities. I should know better and I do, yet something about living suggests that we need to make mistakes as part of our experience. It's as if we are programmed into making mistakes just to help keep things interesting. Which makes sense, since so many important discoveries are based upon when people make mistakes. Anyways. I have been sick the past week. In my energy practices one rule is you don't practice when you are sick. It just makes things worse. Silly me, I was so determined that I went ahead and continued and then over last weekend, still worked chores around the house. I treated the energy work as it were normal exercise (I also discovered to do a low level amount of work when mildly sick since it helps me heal faster normally, as it aids in my sleep cycles to be more complete and deeper).

Bad move, it just ended up getting me extremely sick, and for the last week now, I have been 100% exhausted and barely healing off the results of the bug. Feels like I have been living in molasses. Of course now, I really really understand why you don't practice qigong and energy exercises when sick. It opens up your entire body, down to the deepest parts of your being. Of course if you open yourself up that deeply then the virus also gets the opportunity to go extra deep into you also. Gads its not fun. I understood this concept before (you can be taught something but until you experience it it doesnt always sink in), I now fully accept it and at least I learned an extremely valuable lesson. Even if it means the past week was terrible in my body and mind being down and out. Hopefully this week I will be healed enough to get back to writing and responding to everyone. Live, learn and swirl I guess.

The Psychologist vs The Psychiatrist

People get confused about the difference between psychologists and psychiatrist and for this reason, today we’ll find out all about it from a hypnotherapist in Abu Dhabi. First of all, psychology is when science works to understand behavior and mental development and to apply that understanding in the service of human well-being. There are many fields of psychology. Below is a list psychology practices:
  • Positive psychology where, the focus is on people‘s positive experience and characteristics. These people explore what lead people to feel happiness.
  • Biological psychology, these are the psychologists that use high-tech scanning devices and other tools to study how biological process in the brain affect behavior and mental processes.
  • Cognitive psychology, are those that study judgment, how we make decisions and we solve problems and how we use our imagination.  Also known as experimental psychologists, these people study how we perceive the world.

Ex: What do you see? An old or young man? “Husband and Father-In-Law” (Botwinick, 1961).
  • Engineering psychology, when psychologists study human factors to help create better equipment in the world.  These people study how we use keyboards, and open doors, and navigate our cars so they can create the most logical design for use.
Psychiatry is dealing with mental illness, such as depression, anxiety and so on, cured with medical treatment.
  • A Psychologist will have a degree in psychology; counseling, or community health.
  • A Psychiatrist is a medical doctors specializing in abnormal behavior.
There are differences between the two fields but psychiatrists and psychologists often work together in the treatment of patients.  A psychologist and a psychiatrist are often confused as having the same meaning. While both study the brain, mind, emotions, feelings and thoughts, there is a distinct difference between the two fields of study. Psychology attempts to understand the role human behavior plays in social dynamics while incorporating physiological and neurological processes into its conceptions of mental functioning. Psychiatry adopts a medical approach but may take into account biological, psychological, and social-cultural perspectives.

A Book called Sock

It begins in the year 1930 when Sock is discovered sitting in the window of an old toy shop somewhere in Dorset, telling of his time there and of the old shop keeper, describing his experience there in detail, making you wish you could take him in your arms and bring him home with you. When a passerby takes him home as a present for his newborn daughter, Sock finds himself living with a family in a rural village and he describes his life there and the characters he meets, including the coalman who calls on them every Friday. You also get to know his owner Dorothy. You also meet Dorothy's Father really well, the really attractive dark haired Bryn Jones, who becomes very popular with the women of the village. Dorothy shares her childhood with him and you share their life growing up in the village. They both manage to survive the war years, although it absolutely turns their lives upside down. You also learn how Sock lost both his ears and how he comes to terms with the way he looks, a part of the book that could possibly melt your heart. Dorothy becomes a very successful musician and travels the world with Sock.

He describes the people he meets, often making you smile. He also falls in love with another Old Teddy Bear who lives in America. The book is filled with his thoughts on life as seen, of course, through the eyes of an Old Teddy Bear. It includes poems too that will almost certainly make you think. The author started an on line shop supplying Antique Bears to collectors around the world back in 2009, after a lifetime of collecting and taking care of Teddy Bears. Talking to the many collectors she meets, she became overwhelmed by the very many stories she heard of people and their Teddy Bears. After writing two e-books "Teddy Bears & Me" and "Teddy Bears", she decided it was time to write a novel about a Teddy Bear's life story. What she really wanted to achieve with this novel is for you to go and find your Old Teddy Bear and give him a cuddle and remember the times you shared together. 'Choosing the Teddy Bear was really easy' she says. "He had so much character and I fell in love with him when I first saw him". Sock was given to her in 1995 by her brother as a Christmas present. He has such great character that the story just grew around him.

Found after a Year

A Montreal pooch who disappeared last year has miraculously turned up some 4,500 kilometres away in Kamloops, B.C.The black Labrador named Pollux, shown in a photo handed out by her Montreal owner, is afraid of the water and detests the rain, yet she took an adventurous turn upon fleeing through a gate mistakenly left open at her east-end Montreal home last September 20. The black Labrador named Pollux, a rescue dog who hated water and rain, bolted from the backyard during a soggy day in October 2013 and left her east-end Montreal home. Her owners believe she fled through an open gate. It’s unclear what sorts of adventures the littlest hobo had next. All they know is that she finally wound up just outside Kamloops, B.C. where she was found last month. “She went from the east side of town to the west side of the country”, joked Isabelle Robitaille from her Montreal home on Wednesday. How she got to B.C. remains a mystery. Details of the trip remain a secret to everyone but Pollux. “We don’t know”, said Robitaille, who has a number of theories about what happened. “And she can’t talk”.

A Long Walk

I went for a long walk that lasted more than a week. During my walk I stayed away from my computer, my cell phone, and anything else that would allow me to stay in contact with anyone. The only people I spoke with were people who were physically with me. At times I had no one around me. I found myself standing out in natural surroundings without any walls. I found myself facing something I could not seem to face after so many months of struggling to face it. I found myself facing me. I looked at my thoughts. I remembered what I had gone through. I thought about present, and I thought about future. I recalled two posts, one posted before I took my walk and one scheduled to post while I was on my walk. I realized something. It’s not me anymore. The man who had that fantasy was scarred and hurting, angry and bitter. In those negative emotions, he responded to a slight against him. He visited it in a fantasy world. In real life, he would never ever do something like what happened in that fantasy. But there was a world where he could visit and do something of that nature. There is a place where he could write it out and others could see it. Writing is my means of dealing with things that I struggle with in my life. It became that way when I shared my home with someone whom I could not openly speak with. I found a voice in the blogging world. That blog is now closed, and this blog came to exist shortly after that one closed. I do not have enough room or energy to describe what I went through in this post. I cannot describe what all I felt or all I thought. All I can say here for now is that I think I may have found a means to deal with the anger and bitterness I have been struggling with.

How to Spend your First Salary

The first salary is very important for everyone because it shows the value of the hardwork and the smartness. Recently, someone said that in some parts of the world, it’s necessary totake the whole first salary to your parents and  allow them keep a part of it  if  they want and let them tell you how to spend the rest. We are not quite sure that the yougsters agree with this situation, therefore there are other ways to manage the situation. Do you want a simple way to spend your first salary? Divide it in three equal parts and then: Give some to the people you love. These people may be your mother, your father or your little brother. The greatest joy is when you spend your money with those who have given you everything; Give some money to those people you’ve ever ignored. Yes, those poor people who live near your street and sleep in a box. Or you can also choose to help an organization that takes care of helpless animals; Keep the rest of the money for yourself - It’s your prize.
But maybe you don’t like any of these options and then you can think about another ones. You may want to buy an object that can remember you about your first salary for a long time. A TV can be a good example. Or a pet. Or an advance for your first car. However, not everyone thinks about to spend the first salary in a useful manner. Some of the people choose to have a party with friends. There are also people that don’t want to have something substantial from their first salary. We are talking about  those people who choose to do a crazy thing as an extreme sport. You might want to use your money for something but you’re just not quite sure. There’s possible that you will not want to keep them into a bank account just like others. So, after you’ve finished with your monthly expenses, you could start a  fund. This will give you the resources when you want to do something spontanuous. Spontaneous occasions are the bonuses of life, so get ready for them! It may sound rather odd to plan for something spontaneous but it is the best way around for you to secure your future fun time.

However, you must be cautious because your first salary can get you into a ton of debt. Do you live with your parents? If so, you surely are accustomed to have no worries about your basic needs. So, you are free to spend your money on clothes, lunch with friends and things like that. And if you have a grandmother who helps you with money from time to time, you are the luckiest person. But things can change when you are a student and you have to cover all kind of costs like books and housing. Or maybe you need to buy a nice business suit to wear to interviews. Think about one thing:the way you choose to spend your first salary can influence your future behavior. This means that your first salary is the perfect opportunity to make an analysis of what contains the real life, lived without any help. There are some useful questions:

1. How much money do I need for food?
2. How much do I have to pay for  power/water/internet?
3. Do I afford any of my pleasures, like skating?
4. How much money can I spend for clothes and hygiene?
5. Do I afford to pay a rent all by myself?

No matter how little or how much money you own, spending it wisely it’s always a good idea. The way you choose to spent your first salary talks a lot about your future as consumer. It’s ok wanting to buy something that you wish a lot but, for your own good, you must understand quickly that only few people can affort to buy something when and where they want. Shopping not only covers necessities but also can create addiction. Nowdays, we can easily meet people that admit buying unnecessary things just for the pleasure of shopping. We can also be one of them if we don’t see the limit between need and whim. Author bio: Andrew Doherty, manager of the bridging finance department for Vision Finance London. I love economics and life in general.

Found after 7 Years!

I have some rescue people who don't agree with me on this subject but lately all the cases of dogs being found after year or years missing only proves my point more do not keep found dogs! A women in Arkansas found a young Shih Tzu, 7 years ago. She kept the dog without turning it into the the authorities or having it scanned for a micro chip. The dog got out of the women's yard and was picked up by animal control who scanned the dog and found the chip leading back to the original owner from 7 years ago! The original owner wants his dog back and the women who found the dog is upset. The only thing I feel bad for is the dog. The poor dog has lived with the same person/family for 7 years and is now being up rooted. But at the same time if I were in the shoes of the people who lost the dog 7 years ago, I sure the hell would want my dog back. I don't understand why people keep dogs they find. Frustrates me to no end!

Rent a Car Safety

The rent-a-car companies in Bucharest and in the country are in a continuous competition and the difference between them is only given by the services supplied by each one, by the quality of the cars made available as well as by the promptness that each call is taken and delivered on time. Besides comfort, a respectable car rental Bucharest company that wishes to put itself on record or to maintain it, is also concerned with the safety that its clients' needs, not just with the delivery of the ordered goods. Therefore, in the car fleet made available you will find various other car helping items, meant to increase comfort and safety of any ride, no matter the weather conditions. In the summer time, the air conditioning as car facility is kind of everything you need to travel relaxed, but in the winter, either it is a business or leisure travel, the clients' requirements from a rented car are a little higher.
Winter tyres are mandatory for some time and thus the car should not miss these but the tyre chains are optional. In most of the cases, many drivers don't preventively have them due to the cost or to the certainty that they will not drive in areas that might ask for something like that. There is no way that a rent-a-car company knows exactly the areas that a client will reach by car, or the weather conditions or how well the client handles behind the wheel, if there is snow or glaze. Wishing to be cautious and to guarantee as much as possible the clients' safety, each car that you rent has such chains so that you are able to travel to any place you need without being afraid of the road conditions. Such facility of a car you rent might be sometimes the only solution to safely reach the destination, the winter rides, especially the long ones, carrying many risks and many sudden weather changes.

Europe on the Cheap

Finding where the numerous European discount airlines fly was a tedious task, until Tarom introduced RouteScout, a search engine that allows you to search by airline, airport, city or country for the route matching your needs, saving the frugal flyer both time and money. Now EasyJet has been added to the ever growing list of airlines served by them. EasyJet serves many cities in Europe including London, Athens, Paris, Malaga and Nice, among others. Many discount airlines allow you to book flights only solely through them, which can mean hours of searching individual web sites for coordinating routes. RouteScout allows you to search 31 different European discount airlines for routes matching your search criteria. No longer do you have to go to each of these airlines to find matching routes and also features other travel-lover features such as rich-text based travel journals and photo albums, and the ability to share their experiences with various airlines or get advice on the best places to stay using the message boards. Tarom is dedicated to making European travel affordable.

Believe it or Not...

This is, to my mind, not a bad thing if it radicalizes the center. In any case, this sort of “law enforcement” tactic is not only par for the course, I would expect it as fairly standard, especially since the rhetoric has ramped up over the past 8 years to lump a whole lot of people under the rubric of “environmental terrorists” (a laughable semantic trainwreck if ever there was one). Any truly inspired movement for radical change has to expect mass arrests, intimidation, every form of government / police oppression. In fact, if they don’t invite it, they’re probably doing something wrong. Otherwise it’s not radical change they are organizing towards, it’s just grandstanding and window-dressing. The worst thing the establishment could ever do to a movement is ignore it completely. The fact that a certain segment of the establishment is so completely agitated about environmental activists is in itself a victory not to be taken lightly. It is also a victory for which a great deal of payment will probably be made. When you’re trying to save the human race from extinction due to stupidity, don’t expect the forces of stupidity to not put up a fight. Especially since fighting is pretty much all they know how to do. As a postscript, it also cracks me up to read the statement “people have a right to demonstrate peacefully”. If you really have to think about why that statement is both ridiculous, frightening, depressing, maddening and in the end an invitation to rebellion, then you need to put down your venti caramel macchiato and read it again a few more times. And if you still don’t get it maybe you should punch yourself in the forehead a few times. (I recommend this, from personal experience).

Eyes Have Everything

Perhaps one of the greatest things is the human eye. Perhaps too great. They curious devils spy upon everything, looking, maybe trying to behold something worth the look. The eyes upon a girl's diary. Lovelorn, words deeper than what is put on paper. Even they look upon words struck out, slashed out with pen, but alas the ink is indelible. Even when you slash it out, but not so thoroughly, eyes can still look upon secrets written. They spy upon documents, shut away and forgotten years past. Words forbidden. Words literally not to be seen by them. But alas... It may be too late. The eyes spy upon something, as I've told you all before, forbidden. The secret is found. But if eyes had a mouth they would scream. Eyes can have everything. Perhaps too much of everything.

Book Review: Shadowed Summer by Saundra Mitchell

Title: Shadowed Summer. Author: Saundra Mitchell. Genre: Young Adult Paranormal Mystery. Paperback: 192 pages. Publisher: Delacorte Books for Young Readers; First Edition (June 8, 2010). Description: Nothing ever happened in Ondine, Louisiana, not even the summer Elijah Landry disappeared. His mother knew he ascended to heaven, the police believed he ran away, and his girlfriend thought he was murdered. Decades later, certain she saw his ghost in the town cemetery, fourteen-year-old Iris Rhame is determined to find out the truth behind "The Incident With the Landry Boy". Enlisting the help of her best friend Collette, and forced to endure the company of Collette's latest crush, Ben, Iris spends a summer digging into the past and stirring old ghosts, in search of a boy she never knew. What she doesn't realize is that in a town as small as Ondine, every secret is a family secret. My Review: I didn't hear much about this book, but the story sounded interesting and I happened to receive a free copy...

So I read it. Fun, exciting personal story, right? Well, it is an understated reaction to an understated book. Despite the book being about ghosties I can't say it is all about the ghosties. The story is about friendship, growing up, healing  and all that good angsty stuff that coming of age stories should have. I think what I liked most about the book was the setting. Setting can become its own character, a behemoth presence in a story. The setting doesn't overwhelm the story itself, but it surly enhances all the good qualities. The small town stuff. Showcasing the dark secrets everyone seems to have and hide. And it is plain to see that past events still have an effect on the people of Ondine. I see this book as a read for a younger crowd, I wouldn't have a problem with my little sisters reading this (they are 9 and 11). The romance is sweet and light. An awakening to love, if you will (jeez, I can't believe I actually just used that expression...as if I were sixty and a college professor). The main relationship focus is family and friends.

I was kinda hoping for something to happen before I read the book, before I knew the character ages. I probably would have been rolling my eyes if anything did happen between these young kids (was that a spoiler?). There is a mystery going on, but I never saw it as a "Let's solve a murder and find a killer!" It was more of a puzzler, for the characters, about why this ghost was coming to them for help (he does have a peachy way of asking... sheesh). And stuff just gets resolved (I suppose) in the end. Rating: 3.5/5. I enjoyed this book so I don't want to say that I feel like a younger audience would like this more. Maybe older audiences would find it a bit of a nice departure from all the stuff saturating the ya market now. This book is a nice quick read about a small town girl trying to solve a ghostly mystery, and boys, crushes and friends seep into mix. So if that sounds like something you may like then check this title out. I have to make a mention that I liked the mini twist at the end. It was kind of bittersweet... probably why I liked it.
